Interest in a New York gameday?

Hubby (Dire Wolf) and I live on Long Island and we're thinking of possibly hosting a gameday, maybe October-ish. We just got back from KahunaCon and had so much fun we want to do it again. We have plenty of space to game and some crash space (lots if you don't mind a tent in the back yard ). We're 28 miles from NYC, about 3 1/2 hours from Attleboro (KahunaCon) and 3 1/2 from Albany. You could take the train into NYC then the LIRR out to here, the station is very close.

Would anyone be interested?

How far from the LIRR station are you guys?

Luckily, I didn't lose electricity. One of my co-workers did, and she says she got electricity back last night, but that the block across the street was still out. What about you?

Definitely interested. And I could ferry a few folks out from NYC as I have gamer friends there. Pick a date please and I'll let you know if I can commit. My initial thoughts are that I would happily volunteer to DM a Ptolus adventure using core and Arcana Evolved PCs....

Long Island is scary Anyplace that I can't get to by subway is scary.

depending on day/times/etc, one of my players DOES have one of those car things.
so I could be a maybe +2 if we're allowed to bring non-enworld players.

I always see gameday threads but don't recall a real attempt at a nyc gameday, so is it just a few dms volunteering to host games? board games too? just a meet and mingle?

An LI game day is a great idea. I might come (all the way from Buffalo!) depending on the day, but also my friend just opened a store on LI, in Seaford, called Games and Gifts Galore.

I imagine that he would be very willing to host or do something in conjunction with you, Queenie. I'm not sure where on LI you are. In his store there are two play areas, one in the back of the main level and another one downstairs.

Anyway, I'll email him about this thread and maybe he'll jump on here and discuss.

The Hubby and I are very interested. He has a preference for the 14th of october, but thats just so he won't miss an ND game.

I'm in Rego Park Queens and would probably be willing to take the LIRR out to your spot. So unless something pressing comes up count me in as interested.
