Whereabouts on LI?

We are in North Babylon, NY. By train it's about 1 1/2 hours or 1 hour on an express.

How far from the LIRR station are you guys?

We're about 10 minutes from the Babylon station and 5 minutes from the Deer Park station. That's driving. No one would really want to walk but it would be super easy for us to pick people up and we are willing to do so. Babylon is better because there are more trains and it's easier to give directions in case we need to send someone to pick people up.

I always see gameday threads but don't recall a real attempt at a nyc gameday, so is it just a few dms volunteering to host games? board games too? just a meet and mingle?

Well, I've never been to a NY gameday and my recent trip to Kahuna Con was my first gameday at all. I don't recall hearing about any game days in NY. My hubby has *tons* of board games and card games will probably have some stuff to give away as he is both a Steve Jackson rep and Wizards of the Coast delegate. We are pretty social people and like to have time to meet and mingle too. So, to answer your question, all of the above. It all depends on what everyone attending wants to play / run / do.

We would do this over two days, Saturday and Sunday. Right now most weekends are open in October, except for Oct 14th (Sorry KB! If it's any consolation Rob says we can play the game for Dave in high definition on our big screen tv). So, we could do a poll and see when the most people could make it and plan it for then. We're also open to suggestions as it would be our first big gameday.

Games & Gifts Galore would like to host a Long Island gameday at my store in Seaford

Hello all,

I would love to host any and all gamedays at my store in Seaford, NY. The store is located at 3937 Merrick Road Seaford, NY 11783. The phone number is (516) 804-0411 if anyone would like to discuss this further. I am a good friend of Frank Brunner's and my store Games & Gifts Galore is a full-line game store carrying all genre's of board games, RPGs, CCGs, CMGs, family, party, and children's games as well as comic books and accessories, etc. My grand opening celebration will be held on August 12 and 13th. Days of Wonder will be demonstrating their many board games on Saturday (Memoir 44, Mystery of the Abbey, Ticket to Ride, etc.), but I would love to have a representative from Steve Jackson and/or Wizards of the Coast there as well. The only dates I could not host are August 6th, August 18th, and August 26th and 27th the last of these dates I am having a VS Galactus Devourer of Worlds Premier event.

Frank thank you for the honorable mention and good luck with the move to Buffalo. Everyone else I hope to see you at my store at some point, but if not continue gaming anyway and keep the industry alive.
