Interesting Avalanche Press news bit...

I can't get the main news page for this site to load, so maybe it was mentioned there, but for some reason, I'm subscribed to Avalanche Press's mailing list for company news.

Anyway, they apparently hired RPG game designer/writer Ree Soesbee, and in the press release was this:

"Ms Soesbee’s writing history ranges from role-playing game supplements to novels and includes collaborating on four Origins Awards nominated products. “I have the utmost respect for the folks at Avalanche and can’t wait to see what working for a predominately female game company is like! The products and people have always been top notch.” noted Ms. Soesbee. "

I had no idea Avalanche press was a "predominately female game company". Isn't it kind of odd given the covers for their d20 products? Or do those covers only make men cringe?

Anyway, good news for those that like Avalanche's d20 stuff.

Avalanche's covers make men cringe? Not men who like looking at hot babes in skimpy costumes, my friend... which is most men on the planet.

I loved that cover with the archer squatting with her bow, LOL. :D

Well, is previous threads on this have shown, the majority of posters (mostly men) don't like the covers.

(Personally, I think most of the covers are poorly drawn, with some anatomy mistakes. While I have nothing against scantily clad women, I don't like ones with deformities)
