Just caught the premieres of Lost Girl and The Fades. I know that the first one, strictly speaking, is not a new show, just new to the USA; IDK about the latter.
I have to say that each had a certain appeal. Lost Girl reminds me of shows like Dresden Files and Grim mixed with a bit of Jon Doe- the protagonist really doesn't know her true identity, and she's just found herself smack dab in the middle of a struggle between the two Fae courts of (I believe) Toronto.
Meanwhile, The Fades tells the story of a young man who looks like he's "The One" who is to stop the souls of the dead from coming after the living. The casting looks quirky and well done.
