D&D 5E Interesting rumor re: new Ixalan set for MtG

Apparently someone leaked that there would be a new Ixalan set and that it would be going underground months before Wizards Presents officially announced it. That post was deleted and the user was apparently banned but someone claiming to be them on an alt account reposted the info.

This could be relevant to D&D as Ixalan has a Plane Shift document and a DM's Guild adventure. A Hollow World setting sounds perfect for D&D, and could be used to introduce new races, classes, and monsters...

we will see, all depends on if it is good secondly magic never quite works with dnd something in how the worlds are built make it difficult.

The Mystara Hollow World setting also trades a bit more on real world culture than I think WotC would want to do nowadays, so Ixlan seems like a better bet in that regard.

I do think Ixlan is probably less likely than Dominaria (they are making a huge fuss about it being the MTG setting) or Eldraine, which focuses on a style of play not spotlighted in other 5E settings at the moment.

Yeah but vampirates and dinosaurs!

(I would also love to see Eldraine)

Maybe Ixalan was a cool setting, but I don't like the idea of a morrion-wearer (morrion, the helm used by Spanish conquerors) as the bad guys, or linked to some negative trait (in the best case, only canon fodder killed by the true menace, the big bad guy or like this). You can say my point of view is ridiculous, but in the future other people will say I was right.

Conquistadores were bad guys tho

Just thought I'd leave this here, for all of us who love both 5th Edition D&D and Magic: the Gathering.

A seperate rumour from a different source suggested venture into the dungeon could make a return for the set.
