Internet Explorer’s Auto Complete: How does one clean up unwanted drop downs?

There's an eaier way...

Tools > Internet Options > Content > AutoComplete > Clear Forms / Clear Passwords; although that way also hits them all, but leaves cookies and history in tact.

It was more a post for those who were advising to mess with the registry ;)

Also note that I never suggested editing the registry in my post. I stated that the information is kept in the registry and then followed with the steps to remove entries from the drop down forms without editing the registry. Quoted for convenience below.

"To clear individual items from the list of form or password suggestions, click the item in the list of suggestions for that field and then press DELETE. The AutoComplete list automatically appears when you perform any of the following actions on a previously populated form:
• Type the first character in the field
• Press the UP or DOWN keys in the field
• Double-click a blank area in the field"

Well, if you hack your registry ;)

I have used Windows for nearly 10 years now (Win95 upgraded Win98 SE, WinMe, Windows XP Home & Pro) and never had a problem manually editing my registry files. I've had more trouble with those "registry cleaners" programs. Pox on them, I say! :\
