Interrogation via Suggestion

Say a character is being interrogated via normal means (thumbscrews, hot pokers, etc.). A wizard then hits the character with a suggestion to the effect of "spill your guts so you don't have to endure any more of this". Assuming the character fails his save, is there any reason he wouldn't answer everything they wanted to know?

The tricky part about Suggestion, IMO, is that the spell ends when it is completed.

You could very reasonably Suggest to someone to "tell you everything you know about Castle Darkstrom and his mysterious ruler" and he would. When he was done, he'd be freed of the Suggestion.

In your example, "Spill your guts" seems too open. The victim could very well spill his guts about something else ("Yes, I stole that turnip when I was 7") and thus be freed of the spell.

Like I said, if the request is specific and reasonable, there is no real reason for it not to work. Hope this helps
