Into the Black: Open Call

Into the Green will be out next month (forest critters). Jim has stated the Into the..... books were envisioned as a series, so there's a good bet we'll see more books. Blue is a no-brainer (water critters) and red would maybe contain desert creatures or some such. Sent my submissions for Black in this morning

(As for submission - I started some drafts but have been to busy to pretty them up --- ah well, maybe another time)

I ended up dropping four submissions,

...all in RTF, but so far I'm hitting the big '0' when it comes to accepted monster submissions.

Everytime I submit magic items, I get into a book, but d@mned if I know how to slide a monster into a book.

Although, knock on wood, I think I'll be lucky this time, as the four beasties I submitted were rather unique and well done - in my, obviously, not so humble opinion.

If they don't get into 'Into the black' then I'll clean them up a bit and drop them on my website, the Tao knows I should put somekind of 'real' content there, aside from my own blathering.

I don't think so Vrylakos. They'll notify if you've been selected, but Into the Green took about 3-4 weeks IIRC, so be patient.

I can tell you that I've made my selections for the book, but nothing's official until Jim approves, so I'm not going to reveal what I've selected. Rest assured there were a lot of great entries and the final decision was really tough. I changed my mind a few times before settling on the six, yes only six, entries that I picked. Hopefully you'll be hearing something soon.
