Introducing a Child to D&D

My oldest daughter got interested at around 9 years old. I started her out with the DDM game to get her used to some of the concepts.

She's played a few "real" D&D games, and just recently joined my monthly Mutants & Masterminds group (though her character is very anime-cat-girl based).

I've introduced several young people to RPGs, though none under age 10...

Were I to do so, I'd probably start off with versions of things like Aesop's Fables, Grimm's Fairy tales, and/or whatever kind of stuff I'm sure the kid has read (or been read).

I agree with Thunderfoot- it sounds like you're doing a good job!
