Introducing Immediate and Swift actions?

I'm following Nail's thread with interest.

And as Frank points out, immediate/swift actions are most likely to be a problem with spells.

The player in question plays a multi-classed clr/rog/wiz (mostly rog) and has his eye on the Gravestrike spell. So I guess I'll advise the DM to accept the splat-book spells on a case-by-case basis.

True, but generally a well built cleric has better things to do than wade into melee against undead. :)

"Imbue with Gravestrike" is a combo you would only do if you are pretty certain you will be facing undead, otherwise you probably would go with Divine Power or Freedom of Movement, etc.

Yes, the 4th level of cleric spells is quite crowded.
