Introducing Warforged? My Conspiracy!

First Post
So I decided to introduce Warforged into my campaign. Here is how I am doing it:

Right now the PC's are all 1st level. It starts off with them hearing screaming and junk coming from the forest outside of the city, and leads them ultimately to a hobgoblin cleric sacrificing villagers.

So it goes until the 2nd adventure, where the BBEG is a 4th level Warforged Fighter named Number 14, kidnapping villagers and herding them.

Anyways, the climax of the Campaign (PC's are gonna be around levels 6 to 8 I am hoping) is that a group of Wizards and Clerics are murdering people and harvesting the life energies of various individuals to create the Warforged and grant them life.

Does this sound viable, or is it really cheesy?

well, it's certainly viable, but it makes warforged apsurdly rare, and evil. if you are trying to establish them as a permanant PC race, i'd try something else.

At first they are going to be mostly slaves and evil, but as time and the campaign progresses, I figure they are going to find that not all Warforged are evil, and some are even rebelling against their masters.

Also, this has been going on for quite a while now, so there are going to be quite a few Warforged (enough for a good sized invasion army).

Sounds good to me.

In my (non-Eberron) campaign, I introduced them as creations of a wizards' nations whose purpose is essentially to stop the magocracy from losing more of its magi. Why risk a human when you can send in the machines?
