D&D 5E Inverse: Dungeons and Dragons Online Coronavirus Boom

I play in three groups at the moment. One was online-only from the start. The two face-to-face groups had sessions about once a month, because one involves people (... me) travelling hundreds of miles for it, and the other because it's after work on an evening and scheduling has been hard.

Both of the face-to-face groups have now had their first sessions online, and both of them ended up having basically identical conversations that went "Well, we prefer face-to-face, but this works and it's less effort to set up. Maybe we could play more often?". Both of them have gone to at least fortnightly, the other will be either that or a little more often, depending on how schedules line up.

More gaming means we've clubbed together and bought resources online for stuff - dndbeyond and roll20 in our cases.

Anecdotal of course, but I'm seeing a lot more engagement with the hobby than before, right now.
