Invisible combat?

Thanks to everyone for the replies. It certainly helps our DM no end.

Another question, if you make the DC 20 Listen check to pin point the square occupied by a fighting invisible creature, how far away does this work? 5 ft only? 10 ft? Is there a limit? Or does the DC just increase by +1 for each 10 ft?

And just checking that Invisible creatures still provoke AOOs for their actions (but that the miss chance still applies). Do you have to make a separate Listen check to determine that theya re doing something that grants an AOO?

No limit. In practical terms, a -10 or -20 penalty for range is usually as good as saying it's impossible.

No. As said before, the reason for the AoO isn't because you're making an additional swing (although it looks like it). It's because the defender is less able to avoid your regular swings. As long as you're actively trying to hit them, you get an AoO, although the usual conditions on trying to hit invisible creatures apply.
