Invisible Medusa and her Gaze Attack?

Hi all,

Would a Medusa that had Invisibility (or Greater Invisibility) cast on her have her Gaze Attack negated?

It mentions that a character with darkvision is still subject to the gaze attack in the dark, but what if you had Blindsight going and blindfold on would that negate the gaze?

You give up too easily. You're supposed to exploit the loophole in the MM statement that a creature "is immune to gaze attacks of others of its kind unless otherwise noted." Since that only mentions others of its kind, presumably the medusa can affect itself with its own gaze attack
