Hawkeye
Griff, Martin. Great work, but let's continue to work. There might be more survivors in the rubble. Highbrow and CPU can continue to investigate.OOC:Gremlin will continue to try and dig out survivors while Highbrow investigates.Griff said:Griff is a little winded after his exertions. Lot said:Carrion looks up, seemingly not winded at all but covered with a fine dust of concrete.
"I'd say we got our butts kicked. Some terrorists come in and blow up buildings, crushing, shooting, or incinerating hundreds of innocent people. What did we do? We helped bring about the deaths of some people whom clearly wanted to die. We saved lives, which is a good thing, but what did we gain from this? Are we satisfied that ONLY a few HUNDRED people are dead? What could possibly stop them from doing it again? How are we any closer to a solution now? Is this how're going to fix this?"
The monster, growing frustrated, is becoming more terrifying. His dead, black eyes have taken on a reddish hue and the leathery skin encasing his beak has pulled back, revealing a collection of dull-gray, mismatched pointed teeth.
Salix said:Noticing his new freind falling into a guilty rage, Gremlin walks up to the huge monster, "No time to feel sorry for yourself now, Martin. We did the best we could. Now we need to keep digging. There might be more innocent lives to save." Gremlin turns to head back to the rubble, stopping to say,"You coming or not?"
Lot said:He starts grabbing chunks of debris from the collapsed building and throwing them into a pile he's creating behind him.
"This is new to me, you know? I'm...not a hero like you. "
Carrion keeps digging, eyeing the tragic remains under far too many chunks of cement.
"And the most horrible thing is..."he says, speaking in a low growl as he eyes a bodies. "...I see some of this dead flesh and all I can think is how much I want to devour it. I like to think that under all this, I'm still a good guy. I'm still Martin Reinstatler, web-designer and video game enthusiast. But then I destroy the way my new body is built to destroy or I think something just awful with this new brain of mine and I think...I don't know..."
Carrion, realizing he has paused, resumes working.
"Sorry. I'm...we've got bigger problems than 'poor me.' Let's see who we can still help."
