Carrion continues working, occasionally looking up to see Griff zipping around the sky or talking to Highbrow. He turns to Gremlin.

"Man, I feel like we've been doing this forever. I hope the people in charge have a plan before the government gets here."

I'll keep working here, go up and make sure they're doing the smart thing. Sometimes the really smart guys don't have a lot of common sense.

*Highbrow does a pretty darn good job removing the ruby, if he does say so himself, but as soon as it begins to slide out of the flesh, the still-living body stiffens and explodes, blowing away chunks of the ground and sending Highbrow flying and slamming into the ground, stunned, but fortunately only suffering minor injuries as he gets up off the ground, dusts himself off, and readjusts his dark glasses.*

*Griff is completely unaffected by the explosion. He's Griff, after all.*

(OOC: Highbrow fails his Reflex save and is Stunned for a round and gains one Injury

After hearing the explosion, Gremlin stops, turns to Carrion and says, "Better go check on the odd couple, Martin. Sounds like they're having too good of a time. If there is anything left of them, ask them what we're doing next. You've got a good point about the authorities showing up. I don't want to hurt any innocents, and I'm not spending any time in a Turkish prison"

 

[Velmont]

"Highbrow?" asks CPU over the mental link. If there is no answers, he will repeat it over the commlink. If there is no answer, he will nods at Gremlin's suggestion. "Gremlin, go on, and I'll follow soon. I'll just make sure the local authority handle things here before leaving." CPU finish to handle things on the catastroph site while Gremlin and Martin go take a look. He will quickly follow, using his teleport if it can haste him.

Griff begins to wipe the dirt and body parts off of his clothes"Dude, that looked like it hurt. Was that part of your plan too? Pluck the gem off of the guy and let him go boom? I could have done that and you didn't need to get hurt."
