"I trust that is a joke," Highbrow replies with a (OOC: Namesake perhaps? ) raised eyebrow, "I think people would know if there was a company that made living suicide bombers."

"Maybe we should turn our attention to contacting Steele. We need to plug in with the Turks. I think we should see if they have any suspected strongholds we can bust into. I'd like to get one of them and see if we can get them to talk", Gremlin says to the group.

 

[Hawkeye]

"My removal technique was planned and executed perfectly. It must have been a flaw in our assumptions. I suspect something far worse--that the gem was not a detonator at all but instead it was preventing the body itself from detonating. That would explain the current occurences," Highbrow postulates.

"Ummm the guy that blew up on me on the roof didn't pull the gem out. He just went boom. Also, what about the guy who fell off the roof and exploded? I don't think he would have had time to pull the gem out before he hit the ground."

"I think you're right. We have no idea exactly what they are for. If we can't use it to track them down we should figure out some other way of getting to them.", Gremlin says to Griff.

"Anything is possible. If the gem prevented the explosion, then perhaps when it smashed on contact, that was enough to cause the explosion. This doesn't explain just going boom, though."

*As they are talking, they see a man with a microphone and another cameraman who is over near the wreckage and eventually decides to come over to them.*

"Hello there, friends," he calls in perfect English, "Could you give me an interview for the news?"

"Please give us a moment", Gremlin says to the man, and motions for the others to huddle out of earshot and decide what to do. Highbrow relay this to the others through your mindlink, I think we have to talk to this guy. I think we should say we got an anonymous tip for an impending terrorist attack and came on our own to do what we could. Thanks to Steele I don't think we can say we're here on Resolute business. What do you guys think?

On second thought,we should probably keep to our story. We're here as tourists and just happened to be here when the attack happened. Some of our guys needed a break, and some of the new guys wanted to come here for the comraderie. We lended a helping hand, and we're willing to help out more if needed. If they ask how we knew, I say we say Highbrow is a pre-cog. What's everyone think? Gremlin sends his thoughts to the others through Highbrow.

Carrion comes in for his landing, catching sight of Griff bringing Highbrow back.

"What did I miss?"

He notices the reporter.

"Who's this? Who are you?"
