Ionian Dreams (Bront Judging)

(OOC: Looks like his plan is basically exactly the same as CPU's then, although executed in a slightly different manner ;) You can definitely spend your remaining points as you see fit before leaving on the mission--once you leave, you'll have to wait to spend points. Even if the gun is rather large, it still won't be too much of a problem, as the waveform modifier can put up a false image. Just let me know what everyone plans to do--you all still have time to do planning stuff yet, despite that some of the posts are at the airport)

[SBLOCK=OOC]H4H plan would have been my second try, if a more interractive way couldn't have worked, I would just have temporarly broken the beeper, making sure there is no routine that detect malfunction in the machine (to be sure the security wouldn't have seen teh trick).

Carrion is looking like a well build man, caucasian. Kind of guy you see in gym and doesn't look much harmfull.[/SBLOCK]

OOC: Well Basically the DC would be 40 to detect the malfunction?
If they can make a 40 I definitely would sleep better at night. ;)

(OOC: Not quite on the DC. Writing the virus, for which you can most definitely take 20 and automatically succeed, gives you a bonus to the check to hack and disable it, but you can't take 20 on that check because there is a chance of being detected during the check. Also, if you did something that turned the whole thing off, for instance, they would pretty much automatically detect it because it would register as being off. A hack to stop it from beeping will work, and Highbrow's virus will help with that)

*Highbrow launches a virus into the system that attacks the basic programming of the metal detector, and CPU uses the opening to hack into the system and deactivate the metal detector as the group passes through. The tagteam manages to do so successfully without raising a single red flag in the airport security, and they set it back to normal after passing through, just in case. Gremlin is stopped for a random inspection by the guards, but he's okay, so they get through security without a hitch.*

(OOC: CPU, you're going to piggyback on the plane's power supply as your power source during the flight? Or use the backup generator now?)

[SBLOCK=OOC]CPU will supply as much power as he can without touching the plane powers. Mainly, it should be 2... but if soeone have a personal computer with him, maybe he will find his battery dead sooner than he thought.[/SBLOCK]

OOC:Great news. Hope you can run on a sleep deficit. You're in for some long nights

IC:
After the meeting Gremlin pulls Griff aside. "Griff, I wasn't trying to give you a hard time, but innocent people's lives are in our hands. We need to do everything we can to help them, and that includes letting members of the team do what they do best. When the fighting starts, I'm sure you'll be one of the main guys. I guess I'm saying I'm sorry if I said something to offend you."

"No prob bro. I know that I am not some sort of computer genius or what not. I have problems remembering my PIN number. I just don't like having it thrown in my face sometimes. I haven't even unpacked from coming here, so my bag is ready to go. Hey, since we are tourists, can I take my board as a disguise?"

*The group's flight is on Lufthansa, stopping in Frankfurt with a one-hour layover and then finishing in Ankara. They have first-class seats, which is good because even reduced, Carrion is seven feet tall. CPU siphons power from laptops, reading lights, and some of the other conveniences, without draining the main engines, allowing him to maintain the waveform modifier's effects. The flight goes mostly without a hitch, though one of the flight attendants trips over Carrion's tail when it flicks out too far, though she doesn't realise it and apologies for her clumsiness, speaking English with the mixed German and British accent of someone who learned to speak British English when they took English classes.*

*When they land for a short break in Germany, they have to show their passports, but they don't have to go through security again, and this will be the only time they have to show the passports after this thanks to both Germany and Turkey being in the EU.*

(OOC: Anyone want to do anything during the layover? It's also still okay to do something before leaving)

Carrion will gather his collection of DVDs and his portable DVD player from home. He also grabs a few paperback mysteries for the trip. Besides this, he doesn't need much.

Griff spends the flight reading various surfer and professional photography magazines. It appears that he is a slow reader He also appears to drink a great deal of beer in Germany, to no effect.

Gremlin asks for an immersion course on MP3 for Turkish. He puts it on his IPOD and spends most of his time muttering simple phrases to himself.

OOC: Thought this is something the character would do since he speaks three foreign languages already and they come easy to him.
