(OOC: Okay--he won't get the actual language without points to spend, but it's good flavour)

OOC: That's exactly how I was looking at it. At best he could probably do a convincing yes, no , and My name is , and where is the bathroom. At least that's my spanish after two semesters of college.

CPU will simply buy one... no two... hmm... ok, four coffee to stay awake, as he cannot maintain any power while sleeping. He will have his portable computer with him, and will recharge his battery, as he will likely have drain it, and will work on his Open Source project to pass time, and will also try to find a good Turkish-English website, so he can translate things with it if the need ever come by.

(OOC: Heh. The flight isn't *that* long. They did have to wake up early, but they won't have been awake for too much longer than a normal day by the time it's over. Of course, if they want to adjust to jet lag, that could take longer  As for a translation page, with Highbrow's translator, if you have the time to go to the webpage, you probably don't need it, but he can find a decent trigram-based NLP English/Turkish translator)

*The connecting flight is delayed, giving Griff more time at the bar. After a few hours, it takes off, with an apology by the crew. The flight goes smoothly, and before long, they are in Esenboga Airport. It doesn't have as many international flights as Ataturk International in Istanbul, but it's closer to Kurtalan, so they found a flight leading here. Thankfully, none of the checked baggage was lost in transit, and they are able to leave the airport without incident, entering the city during the hot Turkish midday.*

OOC: During his layover in Germany, Highbrow researches the areas they will be going to.
Particularly maps and or satellite photos. He also will look at a phone directory if they have one. Train schedule from Instanbul to Batman (which runs through Kurtalan) and vice versa.
Americans or other english speaking persons in area if I can find it. Highbrow also looks at each and every person on the flight to the area.
No need to list all the info. I just want Highbrow to be prepped if I ask future off the wall questions.
