INDIE PRESS REVOLUTION (IPR) members Muse of Fire Studio (now known as Muse of Fire Games), Blue Devil Games, and Bad Axe Games have been nominated for 2005 ENnies in FOUR categories!

<Best Rules and Best Game- Capes (Muse of Fire Studio)>
Muse of Fire Studio's Capes RPG is nominated for an ENnie in TWO categories: Best Rules and Best Game. Known as the "superhero game with heart", Capes is a game that is easy to learn and fun to play. It comes in a comic-book size package and delivers in both game mechanics and fun factor.

As you play, you will show the amazing things that your hero can do and, just as important, their inspiring reasons for doing them. The game poses the question: "Power is fun, but do you deserve it?" The rules will lead you constantly from the joy of super-powers to the determination to show your worth. You'll find what success means to your character, and also what failure means.

<Best d20 Game- Dawning Star: Operation Quick Launch (Blue Devil Games)>
Blue Devil Games received a nod from the judges for Dawning Star: Operation Quick Launch. Nominated for Best d20 Game, it's been called by reviewers as "the most stunning book" seen in a long time (Silven Crossroads), "a perfect fit" for d20 Modern (RPG.net), "utterly fascinating... compelling... an 'A'..." (RPG.net), "well researched and well written" (Gaming Report), and "well thought out and creative" (EN World).

Dawning Star: Operation Quick Launch provides everything you need to launch a high-adventure, science-fiction campaign on the planet Eos. It features:

- Dozens of talent trees, occupations, skills, feats, species classes, advanced classes, and prestige classes.
- An exhaustive list of equipment, weapons, armor, gear, cybernetic implants, vehicles, and starships.
- Strange, new xenomorphs, including the exotic Eotian fauna, the mysterious tentaari, and the shadow-shrouded vaasi.
- The Eotian lands presented in exacting detail, including maps, regional descriptions, and NPCs.
- A full-scale introductory adventure to start your campaign with all the energy of a Davinger Ion Drive.

<Best Adventure- Slavelords of Cydonia (Bad Axe Games)>
Bad Axe Games has its highly-popular adventure sourcebook Slavelords of Cydonia nominated for Best Adventure. This 238-page adventure sourcebook pits the heroes against tentacled horrors from beyond the stars in a world-spanning struggle to avert a second cataclysmic war.

Slavelords of Cydonia features a complete campaign for adventurers level 1-20, in addition to supplementary source material presenting new monsters, spells, technology, races, feats, and talents suitable for any Grim Tales campaign.

Congrats to all the nominees and good luck to everyone!

Obviously, I'm ecstatic about my nomination, but I'm equally happy for Benjamin and Anthony. For Bad Axe, they deserve to have some good fortune after the Osseum fiasco and to be rewarded for their innovative product. For Muse of Fire, it's nice to see a risk-taker make a big statement. Good luck guys.

In total agreement. I'm really proud to have you guys as IPR members.

I also want to say that these three gentlemen are truly dedicated to their products and bringing the highest standards of quality in not only game design, but production value to whatever they put out. I'm so glad to see that they're getting some recognition for that. :D

I encourage everyone to check out these books for themselves to see what I'm talking about.

Personally, I hope that we can provide a good home for Bad Axe Games after what they've gone through and I think we can actually make more money for publishers like this through our system.

By the way, we are soon preparing to launch our offline advertising campaign and retailer outreach program. Stay tuned!

That would be REALLY interesting and could lead to something simply awesome!

But remember, reunified Germany does worse in the Olympics now than either East or West did separately before. Interesting, eh?

Oh, and please don't forget we have Dawning Star: Operation Quick Launch on sale for $19.95 during the voting period. It's to celebrate the book's ENnie nomination and encourage people to check it out. The price will revert back to $29.95 after the voting ends.

I also want to remind folks that Conspiracy of Shadows: Revised Edition is now available with a brand new cover and whole lot more details with some great updates in...

Mechanics
- The core mechanic has been streamlined. All rolls are opposed rolls now. Two types of rolls involved, Simple Conflict Resolution (one roll to rule them all) and Extended Conflict Resoltion (blow by blow rolls).
- Ethnicity is now Player defined
- Built in endgame via the new Doom mechanic
- Weapons & Armor aren't just swords and shields anymore, but stuff like papal bulls
- Endurance points are gone
- Momentum has been combined with some of the features of Endurance Points
- Taint has been cleaned up to make more sense
- Witchblood & the Supernatural now reflect what was on the website
- New trait of Piety added to the mix. Stresses the importance of religion and faith in the medieval world
- A trust mechanic added to the Cell. Functions like gift dice from The Shadow of Yesterday mixed with Trust from The Mountain Witch
- Assets of the Cell can now be used in game for bonuses opposed to just being a framework

Other Stuff
- Conspiracy creation tool-kit expanded to do everything you could possibly need
- A guide on how to run the game in an episodic nature was added
- A guide on playing the game which includes rules on pacing, using marks, etc.
- Religion information expanded
- Country information is clearer. Instead of a historical overview, there is a general overview. More readily applicable to the game. Also, two nations were absorbed (Amdrus into the Theocracy of Malindarov & Falchia into Falkaz) and one broken up into three (the Great Khanate into Falkaz, Voru & Tolor).
- A bad ass index

This is a great game for anyone who's into demons, religion, horror, conspiracies, cover-ups, etc.

AND Conspiracy of Shadows: Companion will be available during Gen Con. This book adds additional tool kits for Players and Game Masters to use. It includes odds and ends that will make "the search for the truth" that much more enjoyable.

Just curious but is there something wrong with the checkout at indiepressrevolution.com? Keep getting an error message.

There shouldn't be. Can you tell me what kind of an error message you're getting? This has never happened before. I'm sorry to hear that you were inconvenienced though.

Don't worry about it. All fixed now.

AFAICT, my error was somehow related to my internet connection. Obviously I was connected yet checking out acted as tho I wasn't.
