A call is sent forth to the members of the Oerth Alliance to gather some of their best diplomatic minds. The United Commonwealth of Toril also calls on its allies in Realmspace to gather diplomats for possible contact with the Hivemind.

Vice President Ian Icarus Lannon states, "We are prepared to ascertain if this Hivemind is a threat. Ideally, we can establish peaceful contact. However, we will defend ourselves and our ideals if we must. We will try to ascertain what happened to the kender agent of the Humanoid Alliance. Hopefully, we can extend the hand of friendship to the Hivemind and find areas of mutual interest and cooperation."
