Have you got what it takes to be IRON??

The IRON GM World Championship direct from GenCon will be holding a
semi-regional competition at TotalCon 25 on Saturday Feb 26 from
10am-6p at the Holiday Inn in Mansfield, MA (exit 7A off rte 95 MA).

GMs battle for the title as regional champion and a chance for a free trip to GenCon 2011 to be crowned the World's Best IRON GM.

Players receive an average of $25 plus other cool prizes including a free pass to GenCon 2011.

This is unlike any event ever held in New England...Rone Barton, and Lou Argesta and Ed Healy will be at the event, bringing in models, lights, music, and more! This is your chance to show off your Role-Playing Skills while having fun and winning prizes for doing what you love, playing games!!

We already have a growing list of some of the Best GMs from around the region and beyond. GMs include: Nik Palmer, Bob Lamm, Steven Scheel, Bob Yates, Jaimie Delorge, Scott Legault, Ben McFarland, and Dave Fromerth. Don't miss what these great GMs will create under pressure. You will be challenged in ways never imagined.

Once again, do you have what it takes to be IRON?

Fond times at this con, haven't been in 20 years though. I think it is a combination of me growing up and the site kept moving farther from where I lived in MA. I know 1.5 hours is not far for some states and locations out there; uphill both ways in snow and such.

If there ever was a year to return and make the long 1.5 hour trek..this is it!! Have you checked the website? There are national and regional guests of honor including Frank Mentzer and Tim Kask...several podcasts like the DICE TOWER, Nerd Caliber, Tric-Trac Podcast, and more. Plus over 530 events to choose from!! And the IRON GM event is just too awesome to miss. I hope you reconsider!!

I agree, it looks really good. I used to be a regular at TotalCon, then stopped going about ten years ago after several bad experiences. It sounds like those are long in the past; I've heard nothing but good things about the con for the last few years!

Thank you! You are right, things did get a little rough several years ago. Almost all new staff, new direction, and new commitment to the players has resulted in good reviews and big increase in attendance over the past few years. Always good to know that we are on the right track. Having a great time while doing it too!!
