Iron Kingdoms - Available?

Sorry, but I, and not a few people at my FLGS, will not be buying this, and I highly doubt said FLGS will carry it, except for special orders. Privateer has lost out on my market.
*chuckles*
You might not have noticed, but they don't need you, privateer has sold out every D20 book they've printed to date, i highly doubt that a couple of hard heads are going to impact their sales at all. I have this feeling that you'll loose more by not buying this then privateer.

I doubt that privateer had the money or the resources 2-3 years ago to produce two 400 page setting books, no matter how much they wanted too. 2-3 years ago would also mean that we would have been stuck with 3.0 rules now...

I had a lot of fun working on those healing rules.

Oh, so you're the one to blame, eh?

I'd say be shamed, but I'm the one running the game not one of the ones playing in it, so I'll give you an evil smile instead. :D

The Auld Grump, embarassed by how many typos crept into such a short post - oh well, I was half asleep when I wrote it...

I picked up a copy from my FLGS on Friday, and have had a chance to glance through it, but not read much of the specifics. So far it looks cool, except for one thing: the pages and printing are too dark. I know they are going for a style, but the background pattern in the page needed to be screened back more.

Anyone know if they are going to be updating the three original Iron Kingdom modules for 3.5e and this rulebook?

In theory toward the end of the year, http://www.privateerpress.com/schedule.php

Third Quarter has already begun, and the second campaign setting book isn't out yet, so I would say Fourth Quarter of this year - First Quarter next year.

If they like that wait until one of the dies and goes to be raised. :) That was also a lot of fun (and, again, Privateer's idea . . . I just worked on the rules).

I had a lot of fun working on the book and am anxious to do more with the setting. It's overloaded with ideas and just reading the Character Guide fills my imagination.

I ordered it and should get it within the week. I was a bit torqued off about the constant scheduling crapola, but it doesn't really matter. I want these two books badly. I don't know how their poor management will affect the rest of the products they release, however. I want the two main books, can't avoid that now, but beyond that...i don't know. I won't put up with multi-year waits for setting supplements. They are shaky propositions for me in the first place. Supplements are sort of like movie sequels, they usually dissappoint when compared to the original movie/book.

You're joking right? 400 page books are never without errors. No matter how long in production.

From what I remember, the rereleased (new cover with the barbarian looking guy busting through a door) 2e PHB was darned close. Of course, it had ten years to get that way.

It is worth noting that virtually every printing of the PHB has corrected some typos or other errors. Not every edition, every printing. That covers 1st and 2nd eds (I can't say for sure on 3E)

I've been reading the book for about a week now, and so far it has definately been worth the wait. I'm eating this stuff up.

The only major typo I noticed was a cut and paste error on the Mage Hunter prestige class, where the Spell Resistance class ability is described twice and Slippery Mind not at all.
