Iron Kingdom's whats going on!!!!

First Post
Okay, I've been to the web site and there's not much info there. Does anyone know more than "coming soon" regarding the campaign setting. I mean pushed back from November 2002!!!! I understand they are updating to 3.5 but come on. I have the Witchfire Trilogy, Locked and Loaded as well as Fool's Errend and I must say I really am impressed. The Iron Kingdom's looks so good!! I am starting to relate this project with the "new" Duke Nukem game, that ones only 8 years late.

Thanks in advance

Okay, you DON'T have Monsternomicon? Dude, run, do not walk, to your FLGS. Best Monster Book. Ever.

Privateer Press have said time and again that they will not release a product until it's super-ready. They ARE working on the Campaign Guide and promise it is proceeding, but it's not ready yet.

I for one am more than willing to wait. When it's that tasty, you can hang on.

Agreed wholeheartedly. Best ever, and worth twice what I paid for it. Get it NOW.

While I greatly value good craftsmanship, and am prepared as are you to wait for the product... that doesn't mean I'm happy about it. No more so than I'm pleased about eternally waiting for a new Blizzard game like Starcraft 2 or the long-awaited, never-announced Fallout 3. I shake like an addict just thinking of the potential of those two games, and waiting for the Iron Kingdoms is beginning to approach that level of torture.

This product will be done when it's done. If they rush it they will screw it up. They will take their time and effort making it as perfect and detailed as teh Monsternomicon was. Why rush perfection ya know?

All that said, signs point to the IKCG being almost ready to go. I wouldn't be surprised if we see it hit shelves in the next three months

Opps of course I have the Monsternomicon, I can't believe I forgot to write that down, and I agree the greatest moster book of all time, of any genre and any system.

I hope its coming soon, I'm getting ants in my pants.

I run a Fogotten Realms campaign. I love the Realms, but I was looking for another campaign world to try out. I really liked what I saw of Iron Kingdoms. Sadly, it became apparent to me that PP was more interested in putting out some lame-ass miniature game than a campaign book. So I went with Monte Cook's Arcana Unearthed.

To be fair, I don't think it's like they suddenly stopped working on the rpg side of things when they put together Warmachine.

And Warmachine is far from 'lame-ass'. It's an excellent game with very good miniatures sculpted for it. I think you're not giving them credit where it's due.

Dude. You have no idea. It's all one big thing. They've been working on the Campaign Guide all this time -- but the miniature game (War Machine) is part and parcel of the same world.

President issued a statement saying that the development of War Machine was in no way responsible for the delays in the Campaign Guide -- they just want to do it right and it's taking them longer than they expected. Not to say he's not lying, but I prefer to take people at their word.
