Iron Kingdoms

Privateer isn't neglecting the worldbook in favor of working on IK War Machine - they're just waiting until the 3.5 revisions to make sure everything's compatible.

least, that's what i hear...

I think this is the case. In this thread: http://enworld.cyberstreet.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=52594

philreed tell us that he is doing some writing for them now...

The Character Primer with The Monsternomicon and elements from the WTrilogy are more than enough to start a campaign there however IMO...

Being one of mo's future players, I was reading the Character Primer last night. Cool world, cool ideas, but the religion section. I know almost nothing about the gods! The Scrutators are mentioned by there's no explanation. Very frustrating... is there more in the mods? I read the stuff on the site which helped...

Yes, but I'm not sure I wanna spoil too much for you if you will be going through them:p

there are a few MINOR spoilers below

Book One: The city of Corvis is the base and there is some information on the Church of Morrow, including an NPC priest

Book Two : Very heavy focus on a Temple of Cyriss

Book Three: Even more info on Morrow. A bit on the Menoth-Devourer Wurm conflict /Some info on Thamar

Overall I'd say there is a very strong and pervading sense of religious influence throught the trilogy.

I have not read "Fool's Errand" I really need to get that...

After reading the website, and the first Witchfire module, I was really looking forward to doing a campaign in the Iron Kingdoms, all I needed was the world book. I've now gotten tired of waiting for a world book. The folks at Priveteer Press seemed more interested in making a miniature game than expanding on what could have been one of the best(and most original) D&D worlds to come out since the original Forgotten Relms.

I'm no longer interested in the Iron Kingdoms. It's a shame, what a waste.

Yes, it's a shame, because the guys really are working hard on the setting. I e-mailed PP a while a go and Matt Wilson told me they had to push the release date back again, meaning the Campaign Guide won't be out until late summer, or even fall!

Thats a year! :( I want that book!!!

Not again! This is the don't-know-how-much time they postpone the damn Campaign Book! I could have done without the minis for sure, but I'm getting more and more holes in the world during gameplay, having to tell my players "it'll be in the book" because I don't want to make up TOO much stuff that will be rewritten once the book is out for good.
Damn..I want that BOOK! Quality is always a good excuse, but it shouldn't be overused...
If they'd at least update their website a bit more often than once every two months, and put up some previews, like they promised!
