TheNovaLord

First Post
erm..

I dunno

the kewl bits were v kewly roxy, but there werent many

seemed a bit long as well

Pepper n Tony i really liked
Fury was cool, cant wait for him to develop more in future films
Whiplash was pretty good
when i am rich i will hire the 'Ironettes'

The 'Block Widow' was very wooden
Mr 'Ham-mer' was just that

big fight at end was v good

waited for the longest credits in history to roll so i could squeak at excitement at after credit ref to my fav Marvel hero.

So NL, didcha like it or not? What's your recommendation?

Do ya advise seeing this, or not?

How would you rate it against the first film?

erm...

dunno!!

it didnt have the impact of the first film.

the action scenes are few and far between, BUT they are all good and visually clear (so c.f to COTT where it was just too mad and fast)

if Black Widow and Mr Hammers charcaters werent so cringey id really recommend it (8 out of 10), but as they got really irritating in the middle third id say 7 out of 10

my 11 year old son said he really enjoyed it, but i could see him getting a bit twitchy andnearly bored in the middle 3rd

Not having seen the movie yet, and making this statement based purely on previews...
everytime they showed black widow, it just felt like she was being included for the sake of being included (to say 'look, she's in here' or 'look, she's in tight clothing' and not really because she had much to add to the story).

Having said that, I guess i'll see if she really does add to the story (in a meaningful way) when it's out here in the US in a week...

:)

but, glad to hear it isn't a total let down as sequels usually are

Edit: wow, reading my post I sound very cynical... ;) sorry about that tone, it wasn't intentional.

spot on....just add 'oh in this scene im in my bra' and you have her role wrapped up!!

Well, you have to take into account who they are on screan with. Downey Jr., Chealde, Jackson and Roarke have all earned Academy Award nominations and Paltrow has won an Academy Award. Johanson and Rockwell just aren't in that same league.

Soon..... so very very soon......

Then comes Thor

Then Captain America and Green Lantern

Then Avengers, Spider-man (back in high school) and Batman

Its a good time to be a comicbook movie fan :D
