Yeah, something off about the suits. They're not bad, just not appropriate for Iron Man.

The color is off, needs to be more red, and it looks just a tad too similar to the Spiderman costume with that pose.

the lower design in the water looks good imo

That first one looks like Samus Aran's suit crossed with BMX padding.

Doubt it. More like a Power Ranger reject, even if you compare some of the powered-up armored ranger suits.

Could look like one of those mooks they would fight.

You want fire engine red?

Personally, I like a darker shade of red. Minimize yellow to glowing wire stripes that pulse when he use his armaments. Oh, and the outer hip/thigh too reminscent of Robocop.

*shrugs* Looks like they're going for Ultimate Iron-Man in terms of appearance. Looks enough like him to be close enough for government work.

I agree... they're not bad suits, and they're not too cheesy... but they don't really evoke Iron Man.

'Course, I'm still hoping they'll give some sort of a cameo nod to the original Iron Man suit somewhere in the movie, just 'cause.

Dunno. I didn't mind the suits. It's like any other comic book movie -- the costumes never look quite right.
