D&D 5E Ironfang Invasion 5E conversion (OOC)

Yeah Sarenrae was a suggested equivalent to Palor. Never did Pathfinder, basically skipped from 3e to 5e.

It will be interesting to see how we do. I think we are going to have to rely on the townspeople as much for survival as they rely on us for protection.

Taking my son camping, likely offline from Tonight to Sunday afternoon.

At least we've got Sister Grace, who knows Guidance and has +3 wis. That's minimum +4 to Survival rolls, up to +7 if she gets lucky, but averaging +5. So, practically trained (at lower levels, anyway).

Oh and have fun on your trip Greenmtn. :)

I not-so-secretly hope that one of these days you'll decide to run a 5e Yoon-Suin PbP. :)
Based on comments on the "why do PBP games collapse" thread, it's doomed to fail :(
For instance

keep it simple - I't s a complex setting
the DM writing too much about her homebrew setting - oh god
the DM using lots of house rules - that one isn't too bad but *some* are required - there are freaking slugmen for example

Running an urban game is challenging as it is, I don't know if it can be done in a PBP format :(

Honestly lol'd at "unhobbed goblins."

He's going to be mightily confused by bugbears too

"but they don't look like bugs *or* like bears! Can they transform into those shapes?"

Eh, I'd take any one person's opinion about this stuff with a grain of salt. That post also included "the players roleplaying too extensively" as a reason PbP games fail. :\

But I gotcha.

I'm not sure what Flint should do, other than helping to build the defences. That's why I haven't posted in the IC thread. I will post again when inspiration hits.

[sblock=OotA spoiler]Well, so far he hasn't tried to kill me while I was trapped in huge spiderwebs... [emoji6] [/sblock]

Ooo you might want to put this behind a spoiler block...there might be people here who haven't gotten a chance to play OotA but still want to. :)

Oddly enough, I've run that Adventure twice and it took me awhile to remember who you were talking about. "That name seems familiar" I thought. Riiiight. Him.

[sblock=OotA stuff]Hah! Maybe he's a little more memorable if you're playing, rather than running.

I wanted to stab him sooo badly from the minute we met him (CN, don't care) but JustinCase and the party paladin were having none of it. Annnnnd of course he eventually tried to murder JustinCase's rogue.

With that in recent memory, I'm feeling pretty "let's off shifty NPCs just to be safe." ;)[/sblock]
