Is it cheating if...

All the recent "Is it cheating..." threads got me wondering what the next one's topic might be. Here's a few guesses:

1) Is it cheating if you roll multiple dice at a time? So and so says that rolling more than one die at a time is cutting corners and good players or DM's don't cheat like that.

2) Is it cheating if you use a pencil to write on your character sheet? So and so says that real gamers only use ink or blood, and anyone using a pencil is cheating.

3) Is it cheating if you use graph paper for your maps? So and so says that a good DM should be able to instantly determine the the size of a room just by looking at it w/o requiring the crutch of lines, so using graph paper is cheating.

4) Is it cheating if you use water soluable pens on your battlemap? So and so says that battlemaps should be permanent reminders of each session never to be erased. If you don't use a Sharpie, you're cheating!

5) Is it cheating if you use a dice/bottlecap/etc for a monster marker? So and so says that unless you use the actual figurine of the monsters for every encounter it's cheating.

6) Is it cheating if you sit down while you play? So and so says real gamers stand the entire session, even those 12-hour marathons. Chairs are for lamerz & cheaters.

7) Is it cheating if you take a bathroom break? So and so says real gamers can hold it. Pitstops are for cheaters.

8) Is it cheating if you carry your books in a duffle bag? So and so says real gamers only carry their gear in backpacks, and any other kind of carrying method is cheating.

9) Is it cheating if you don't pay full MSRP for your books? So and so says real gamers always pay full price, even if their FLGS runs a sale. Paying less is cheating.

10) Is it cheating if you play with the lights on? So and so says real gamers play in the dark and don't even use candles for light. Using a light to see the map, figurines, dice or books is obviously cheating.

Is it cheating if you don't self-inflict the same wounds on yourself that your character suffered? After all, if you were a true role-player, you wouldn't settle for anything less immersive than real pain.

Is it cheating if you don't get a new set of dice for each campaign? So and so says that each set is bonded to that campaign, so only cheaters or posers would reuse.

What do you think all those leftover Mountain Dew bottles are for? Unless, of course, you live in a state that offers cash refunds for returned bottles...

Is it cheating if you rely on caffeine to keep you awake during marathon gaming sessions? Real games can tough it out.

Is it cheating if you make a character that is both uniquely role-playable and kick-ass in combat? So and so says only munchkins who can't role-play make characters that can hold their own in a fight.

1) I cheat.

2) PCGEN and computer print-outs. Pencils, pens, AND blood are for wussies. :)

3) I cheat, assuming a battlemat counts as graph paper.

4) I cheat, and I stab those who don't.

5) I cheat like a fiend.

6) I STAND! Chairs are for wussies!

7) I SOOOOO Cheat. Especially by hour 4 or 5.

8) Duffle Bags are for... well, you get the idea.

9) I frequently cheat.

10) In the Dark? How could I find my Cheetos bag, or stab the players using the sharpies?

I especially cheat by moving off-topic humor threads to the correct forum. I'm such a big cheater. :)

Is it cheating if a player rolls dice? My friend says says that only the DM can use Dice.

Is it cheating if I use someone elses dice? Everyone says it's sacralige!

Is it cheating if I ask the Rules Forum at ENWorld what they think of a ruling the DM made last session? So and so says the rules are the DMs domain and that going behind his back to ENWorld Rules is cheating...

Is it cheating if you take a shower and wash your hair before attending a game session?

So-and-so says that all gamers are lamers who never bathe and have greasy hair and that if you show up at a game session smelling like fu-fu juice and your hair combed as precisely as Peter Jennings's then that's cheating.
