Is it just me or do others think that the cover of Libris Mortis is atrocious?

I mean really!!! Undead have got to be one of the most popular monster types out there. You would think wotc could make an effort to come out with a cover that was just a little bit special, something by Brom perhaps? I have visions of the Gurps 4th ed cover debacle all over again............sheesh!

Yeah, they should have a nice cover like the Draconomicon, with one lich bringing fresh adventurers in through the entrance to the dwelling, and the other lich playing with the young lichlings.

It is certainly not my favorite cover. Honestly, it looks like a more abstract cover than normal, but I really don't mind it at all.

That looks bad, Wizards full picture covers are usually much better then this.

I cringe whenever I see it. I held out hope for a while that it was just an experimental cover that they had put up like the MM 3, but it's too late now.

The Draconomicon's cover was what persuaded me to buy it. More like commanded then persuaded. The second I saw that cover, I knew that I had to buy it on the spot. No reviews, I just skimmed the back and bought the thing. Glad I did too, I play my dragons a lot more intelligently (read: Rat Bastard DMishly) now because of it.

Not my favorite cover art... in fact they had a small art piece in the preview section of the wizards site that I thought would have made a much better cover.

I was generally neutral about the cover, until I saw your alternative suggestion Phineas- I agree, SO MUCH BETTER! *shrug* Oh, well. I still think the interior content will be good.

Unfortunately true. Can't we see something decent like a group of illithids gathering around an elder brain to fend off a beholder attack or something?!

At least they can still change it.
