Your comments read like you mean you have a problem with what is depicted on the cover when you put it this way ( it SHOULD be atrocious according to the subject matter, right? ), but I'm guessing you are just expressing your displeasure with the "quality" of the cover art.

Yes, the cover art looks a bit weak to me too, but maybe it will look better larger and in person. If it turns out to be anything like the Draconomicon INSIDE, then I'll be very happy.

Other recent WotC books have turned me off with their stupid new races and PrC's. Dream dwarves and Boumman are going to be jokes of 3.5E for a long time to come. NO wonder Wotc is changing their policy on publishing adventures - they seem to be getting desperate for material. Way too many subspecies monsters in the MM3 have almost ruined an otherwise good book - and how does that Dinosaur get it's armor ON exactly?

I'd wager the aberrations cover is a mock-up. The Libris cover might be, or might not. Either way, I don't have a problem with it. I find it preferable to the cheesy skull-book.
