Is See Invis self only?

...or can it be cast on other people?

If it can't do you know of a spell that can be cast on another creature (in this case an undead creature) to allow it to see invisible.

I don't want the Imp.Invis. party to wipe out all my nice undead now do I ;)

thanks

From reading the spell in the PHB, I would say it only allows the caster to see the invisible being. If it allowed anyone to see the invis, then there would be little use for Invisiblity Purge.

See Invisible only affects yourself.

Glitterdust however, will reveal any invisible targets in it's area, and has a chance of blinding them temporarily.

I suppose you could brew up some See Invisibility potions, if the Undead are capable of drinking them. :D

Or get yourself some True Seeing scrolls... (kinda costly) *shrug*

well which is better, true seeing or glitterdust?

They are best used in conjunction. True Seeing to let you see the invisible people, Glitterdust to reveal them to your allies (and possibly blind them).

Depends on what you think makes one thing better than another. Check out the spells in the PH and see how they compare. :)

Of course, if he has a number of the spells, he can cast True Seeing on others as well.

A number of spells, and multiple applications of 250gp mushroom/saffron paste... :)

...and Phat! :D

If he's a Cleric (maybe, since he's got undead) the True Seeing adds the ability to see auras revealing alignments. The spell would come at a lower level if Divine rather than Arcane, also.

Course, maybe he's some sort of Necro-dude... *shrug*
