Is the Dragon Archive CD-ROM any good?

Or order it from the ENWorld Online Store.

*Unsanctioned Pimp begins*

Honestly, they're the best online store I've ordered from, I ordered sometime rihgt after christmas(I think December 27th) and the stuff got to me in time to run my big New YEar's Eve Game!(it arrived on December 30th!) Plus the shipping prices are low cost.

*Unsanctioned Pimp ends*

BTW, I'm not an employee of their's in any way, shape or form.

Are all the cartoons in it (Wormy, Fineous, etc.)?

What about the advertisements?

I agree. It is expensive, but it's probably my single favorite gaming purchase ever.

But then, I love it just for the "Wormy" cartoons.

What's New Sex in D&D

For those of you who missed it, this was published several years ago. Foglio published collections of What's New and sold them through the comic book distribution chain. At the end of the last issue, he included this cartoon. You should be able to dig it up at a decent comic book store (or online). Here is a link to the price guide: http://www.gemstonepub.com/comicguide/comicguide.html

As you might guess, I am a happy owner of the said books.

Does anyone not like the Dragon Archive CD-ROM? Does it have any flaws?

Yes it does have some flaws. The search engine is fairly primitive. It is a pain to use because of constant CD swapping. How many CD's does it have - 4? 6? I don't recall off the top of my head. Also, it seems to want to lock up on me after I use it for an extended length of time.

But it is so useful and entertaining, it is still worth the money. My advice is to copy all of the pdf's to your harddrive. Get a full copy of Acrobat. Now you can index all of the pdf's in acrobat and use its search function to go thru all of the issues at once with no disk swapping. You also could probably copy all of the pdf's to one dvd disk to avoid it eating up all of your harddrive space.
