Is the Revised Creature Collection worth it?

Heya,

I'm going to be starting a 3.5 D&D game, and am thinking about picking up the revised Creature Collection. However, I already own the original (I picked it up from a closeout sale for $6) and haven't used it yet (wasn't running a game.)

Is it worth picking up the new one, or trying to convert the old version on the fly?

If you Plan to run A Scarred Lands game then by all means pick it up. The stat blockes and EL for monsterous characters alone justify the cost.

Is it worth picking up? Well, since you got the first for $6, sure, why not. A very minimimal amount of 'wasted' money for you so to speak.

Don't forget Hags, Unhallowed and Carnival Krewe Plague guys. ;)

But yeah I'd say it's worth it. Since no only are there templates, BUT there's stuff in there about the races, plus the ELCs and the CRs are adjusted much better. Along with fixed skill points, no undead or constructs with CON scores, and better feat useage/number of feats is corrected.

nightfall, you are getting slower on the draw for these Scarred Lands related posts *tisk, tisk*

I guess you are all worn out from all that "buttkicking" on my Kalamar thread. LOL :D

Not much but I can say that Joseph Carriker has said they are basically Wood elves that don't have any significant changes.
