So, if someone could set me straight on the major changes, I would appreciate it. So far, I can discern:

1) Spontaneous casting to Summon Nature's Ally spells
2) Can change into a Huge Elemental at very high levels
3) Slightly revised spell list

What else?

I think it rocks. I was really excited after seeing the spontaneous casting entry. A total surprise to me, and a nice one for flavor and usefulness!

From what I read I do believe no difference between Dire and non-Dire animals is drawn. So at 5th you could be a Dire Rat. They're small, right?

Weasel at 8th. Mmmm......Con.

Venom Immunity has been improved to all poisons, not just organic ones.

The skill list has been expanded to include Spot, Listen, and Ride.

Wildshape is now supernatural, instead of spell-like, so it can't be disrupted, doesn't require concentration, and doesn't provoke AoOs.

I really like the fact that they seem to be including specific rules for animal companion advancement - hopefully, that means you'll actually be able to use them now without constantly worrying that they're too weak, or replacing them with tougher ones as you go up in level.

I wonder whether the lack of weapon restrictions is a typo, or an actual change? Hopefully the latter... It kind of makes we want to play a Druid, now.
