D&D General Is the SCAG Still Useful?

I'm running Tyranny of Dragons and use it a lot, mainly for lore, descriptions and encounter building. No complaints.

It fits very well with the Campaigns from Tyranny of Dragons to Storm King's Thunder. Storm Kings Thunder plus SCAG is a fantastic sandbox combo with those other Campaigns.

Crazy for me to think that when the 3E core books were as old as Tyranny of Dragons and SCAG, they had been replaced...twice.

It’s a much different world. Imagine back then folks started an effort to encourage folks to “read a D&D book in public” was a thing.
