Is the Sorcerer Story Too Narrow for a Base Class?

Actually, I thought the sorcerer mechanics could also fit quite well with a pact-based spellcaster: a sorcerer who channels more and more power from a dragon or a fey lord becomes more and more draconic or fey-like until he takes a long rest and his body resets to "normal".

This mechanic and flavor could also work quite well for a paladin or favored soul type character who slowly physically embodies the deity or principles that power his abilities.

As much as I hate to admit it there is ultimately going to be a default explanation and you can always change that fluff. I think it is more important to get the details right than to say that I have to come up with new fluff every time. That is part of why I find the two souled sorcerer so wrong in my opinion.

They can have more than one default option, though. The possessed sorcerer with two souls can just be one of the sorcerer "Origins."

I love the Sorcerer and the ideas it presents... and I can totally refluff it to even come up with an Exalted type character. :)

Especially a Dragon-Blooded Exalted... all this class needs is to represent the five different Aspects as possible divergent Bloodlines of the current Draconic Bloodline and we have a Dragon-Blooded Class for DDN.
