Is the upcoming Revised Psionics Handbook going to replace the previous one?

Yeah it's 3.0 but I have no idea about an update. There was a question as to whether it would use it, but I distinctly remember Joe saying "No we won't do it." That being said, the usefulness of Echoes I think will still be in use since they do go into some details about Slacerian ruins and a little Slacerian history. That added to the appendix section detailing how to intergrate psionic races along with Psi-HB Pr-classes into the Scarred Lands makes it pretty darn good. Plus from what I scoped, the writing in this book far exceeds the Faithful and the Forsaken.

Any idea if they have made psychic combat interesting? That was the one thing that all but ruined the PsiHB for me. Save or fall unconcious? Blech.

I believe they are using Mindscapes psychic combat modes.
