Is there a creature you've always wanted to play?

I'd like the chance to update a couple of older characters I played under 2nd edition:
Quez, the Fremlin Wildmage
Grung, the Bullywug Cleric
Both were a lot of fun to play, and I'll now be able to resurrect them.

What would I want to play? Maybe an Ogre or similar big dumb creature. Maybe a natural lycanthrope of some sort. I dunno, it all depends on the campaign.

Shadowdancer, is your name Ric Sanborn, by any chance? Well, I doubt it, but this guy I used to play with was always begging me to let him play a Kenku Bard. Ugh!

Of course, I never let him.

No, I'm not Ric Sanborn. And you shouldn't let him play a Kenku Bard. Kenku's are mute. They communicate with each other telepathically. Unless he was going to be Mime. Then a Kenku would be the perfect racial choice. :)

Whenever I used a Kenku as an NPC, the party would all groan when they realized they had to get information from Gabby, the Kenku. Because then it was time to play -- Charades!

I would say a Lycanthrope - Werebear. Beorning style. There was this wierd book where the main character became a Werebear when he went beserk... really like the book.

Is that one of Dennis L. McKiernan's Mithgar books? I love those. And he had a whole race of werebears in his setting. One of the books, "Eye of the Hunter," had a main character who was a werebear.

I noticed several people said Centaur. I used to want to play a Centaur. Then my Elf character died, and was reincarnated as a Centaur. It was cool while we were out in the wilderness. But then, every time the party went into a dungeon, guess who had to stay behind "to guard the mounts and pack mules"? Not so much fun.

Another of my dream creatures to play was a half-ogre. And I got to play one once. That was awesome! Benji really kicked some major ass. And he was multiclassed as a cleric of a war god. He won many converts, and set a shining example of heroism and puissant skill on the battlefield.

A Level 1 Terrasque seriously....

And I had a severe itch to play a Medusa that could shut her Gaze attach off, with magics to hide her true nature, and make her more elven like. It would be an interesting character that is for sure.

Other than that perhaps a Hound Archon, or Awakened Celestial Wolf or some other awakened critter

One of the Creator Race (as a Sorcerer obviously), from Dragon 303. Those guys just seem so frickin' cool!

Another thing I think would be a blast to play, but haven't gotten to yet is a skeleton with Monk levels. That would be so awesome it defies description.
