Is there a Good Demon/Devil out there?

OK, the Erinyes is a fallen angel. Well, what I would like to know is if there is a demon or devil counterpart that is usually good (other than getting a normal demon/devil and slapping a good alignment onto it).

I've had a pain of a time to find one. I've searched three monster manuals a whole bunch of other books, and even wikipedia! What I'm hoping is that somebody knows of something I've missed or something might have been in one of the Dragon Magazines (I wouldn't know, I don't have any of them... I really should subscribe... oh, well). I would prefer an "official" creature, but if there isn't one that's OK.

I've not heard of any.

For a very interesting take on a fiend becoming good, have you read Sepulchrave's story hour? The early part all revolves around the paladin having defeated a succubus who wishes to repent and turn good... and what comes after.

A darn good read too.

A third party book called Mythic Races waaaaaaaay back had a Risen Demon race in it, along with a couple of prestige classes exclusively for it. The concept was cool but the mechanics weren't what I would've given to the concept.

Doesn't one of the Fiendish Codices have something similar in it?

what you're asking for is sort of a "risen fiend" as counterpoint to the fallen angel cliche? i'm not aware of any such type, but i am of course intrigued. :)

they'd undoubtedly be extremely rare, since a fall from grace is a lot easier to come by than redemption from wickedness.
