In the psionics handbook, pag 23, its says "a power altered by metapsionic feats can never cost more power points than the manifester's level minus one."
That's all fine and dandy for the psion, but that also means that a 18th level psichic warrior could upgrade her 6 level spells to a 9th level equivalent, even though she doesn't have those slots.
Then it gets a little more tricky. Further down on that page, it states: The metapsionic level increase by 1 for every 2 points a metapsionic feat increases a power's cost.
The last paragraph suggests that the restriction are preety much just like what spellcasters have, okay I got that. However, its in a paragraph about item creation, so does it apply only to that? And that restriction makes the first restriction completely pointless, so are the two points just reinforcing each other, or is it a misinterpretation?
