Is there an Improved Project Image?

I recently fell in love with Mirror Image and was thinking "Wouldn't it be cool if there was a version that made the duplicates partial real?". So after remembering how some of the Illusion [Shadow] spells worked i started to look around and found Project Image, i really dig this spel.

Now my question is, is there a spell out there that blends both Mirror Image and Project Image? Or does that fall within the domain of Epic Level spells?

Well I suppose it depends on the nature of the spell. Do you want multiple images, only one of which can project your spells? Or do you want every single image to project your spells?

Oooh, I just thought of something. First you could cast project image, followed by Mirror Image. In this case your projected self would be surrounded by mirror images instead of you. Is this what you were looking for?

I want the Mirror Image ability to multiply and the Project Image part to make it have more substance and the ability to move around. I want it able to make attacks (cast spells is over the top, but it should be affected by spells the original caster casts), but want to keep the one hit, one kill aspect of Mirror Image. Maybe more allong the way of Shadow spells, only at xx% strength of the original caster...

Wow, that looks like a pretty strong spell. My guess is that it would be 9th level at least and possibly epic.

I guess it really depends on the spell write-up itself. Maybe if you had the same number of Mirror Images as the 2nd level spell and each one had, say, 50% of your BAB and 50% of your melee damage potential it wouldn't be so bad.

Assuming this means that you can no longer channel spells through any image, I think the spell level would be lower. Maybe 7th or so.

Of course, enterprising casters will cast this spell followed by Tenser's Transformation to really lay the smackdown.
