A friend of mine wants to play one. If there ain't, would someone mind posting a good homebrew Wild Mage?

Thanks much, friends.

if i remember correctly, i think sean k reynolds posted a wild magic feat on his web site and had rules for wild magic.

sean k reynolds is one of the creators of 3rd edition, so his interpretation is as good as any

Official is such a dirty word. Right along with Wild Mage and Kender to my group. ;)

Spells and spellcraft has a neat wild mage, and it's not absolutely out of control.

Official, no.

There are a couple of d20 products.

Mongoose has an encyclopedia arcane chaos magic book with a core class that has a free form spell casting system.

EN publishing or whatever it is called now has a supplement for adding chaos magic into the core game (spells, feats and prestige classes). It is available as a pdf and in print.

Get Wild Spellcraft and that has everythinbg you need for a Wild Mage in it. It has great options, great ideas, and is very well done.

I have a Wild Mage in the group I'm DMing. He's using the SKR Wild Mage rules. Not as "unpredictable" as the 2ed WM, but falls a little more closer to the original vision of a "Controller of Chaos".

I haven't gotten to run it in game just yet, but it will be soon.
