D&D General Players: Do You Care From Whence Your DM Gets His Monsters/Challenges?

Then why are some people so adamant that NPCs and PCs share the same creation rules???

Hypothetically no. I do wish my DM would spend fewer hours trying to fully customize monsters that our party then immediately destroys. I feel like it burns him out. But he's been doing it for years, so I guess it's what he wants.
