By arguing against having a core race with a +2 to INT I'm actually going against the "My wizard can't have 18 intelligence at first level!" cry that you have no sympathy for. Keep things in perspective.

The Nezumi (Rat-like) race from Oriental Adventures has a NEGATIVE Cha adjustment, not a positive Cha adjustment. Their racial stat bumps are +2 Con, -2 Cha.

Actually my friend, he was refering to Rokugan, specifically the Tattered Ear tribe of nezumi, which has a +2 Cha and -2 Wis, ECL +0, as well as a favored class of any.

Can't beat that can you? (For ecl 0 anyway)

Sounds like a great adventuring race to me, and only the humans would be more flexible.
