I've been looking at some of the calculations for advancing monsters and have a problem with the Aboleth. The Aboleth has +9 to damage (+8 from Str) but where does the other+1 come from?
Is this an error?

Either it's an error or standard tentacle damage is 1d6+1. *shrug* My guess is that it's probably an error.
