Is this ENworld 2?

Is it possible that I could reclaim my old handle, Ku Kullin, from the days of yore when this was still Eric's site. I think I've registered it twice but I'll be jiggered if I can remember any of the access info. I'm not even sure if the e-mail addies those handles are registered to even exist anymore.
No reregistering, and I'm hoping that the new site is faster (although I honestly don't know.) Derro, click on my username and shoot me an email containing your current email address and the account info. I'll get your old userbame sorted out for you.

As a note, I'd like to point out that the EN World 2 End User License Agreement will not allow you to visit any other RPG-related websites if you have a member account here at EN World. ;)

Can I just get some clarification on this?

Is it only that I can't have a version of the same 'account' at both ENW2 and another website? Or is it if I visit another website at all?

For example, I understand that I can't register as Hypersmurf at both ENW2 and, say, RPG.net. But if I'm Hypersmurf here, can I create a completely separate identity - Vikingsmurf, let's say - for another website without violating the ENW2 EULA?

No, I'm afraid you must choose between your old websites, or the shiny new one.

Some people are positing theories that perhaps they could create another copy of themselves and use one to maintain an account here and have the clone register an account elsewhere. Unfortunately, I must warn you that such shenanigans are covered by the EULA.

Someday soon I'll have a multiquote button. Until then...

Do we have a revised ETA?

When it is done. (Cue Duke Nukem Forever soundtrack)

Will this lock down the Circvs for those same three days?

No. Circvs will be slowed by the processing going on in the background, but it will work.

Will the threads currently on this site be wiped? Should I copy my what parts of my writing on these boards that I want to save before you switch over?

All data will be transferred - some might not display. One significant example is that the thread categories built into vbulletin 3.7 are incompatible with our current system, so thread categories will be lost until I can figure out how to transfer them (if I figure it out).

My only concern is for folks like myself that are stuck with modem lines. Will the new site make it impossible for me to come here without taking bathroom breaks everytime I hit "reply" or the such? (I can only drink so much water if so)

EN2 actually has fewer images involved in displaying the board which should help.

Overall, news image posting was re-completed tonight, work on their display starts tomorrow. I'll try to get a minimum of a 2 day warning out - the conversion will in any event occur on a weekend.

What if I open the other websites in another browser window before ENW2 goes live? If I don't close those windows, can I continue to use those sites as well as ENW2, under the theory that I'm not visiting the other websites until I start a new session, and merely continuing to use the pre-existing session isn't, in fact, a new visit?

I think that will be OK, as long as you don't hit "refresh".

I can never understand this attitude.

EnWorld 2 is the future. Why would you want to visit these obsolete sites anyway? You can't expect people to cater to all your grognard tastes. Morrus has invested a seven figure sum (in Japanses yen) on EnWorld 2 and you fence sitters are just fragmenting the market and ruining things for everybody.
