Is this feat worth taking?

What race are you? If you don't take this feat any idea what you would take?

I think it is Sun elf. They use to be grey elves they get +2 int, -2 to con.

I'd probably take Extend spell or spell focus if I don't take this.

20= +5
9= -1

That is a 6 point swing. Oh, and I want to be an elf so I can get the 20 in INT.

Yeah... But as a human with Spellcasting Prodigy, your INT works out effectively the same for everything besides skill check modifiers, and if you boost your CON next level you can have perfectly respectable hit points... If you're just taking an elf for the 20 INT, then it's not worth it. If you're doing it because you want to play an elf, that's another thing.

2 Things on the elf thing.

1) I want to be able to use a bow and longsword.

2) We are using the ELements of Magic magic system and SPell casting prodigy doesn't translate real well into that.

Having just read Elements of Magic, it'd use the extra castings per day as if your INT were 20 instead of 18. The only difference from regular d20 is that Elements of Magic has no cap on maximum spell level based on primary spell-casting stat.

Yeah but the spells DC is based off of Charisma. The PHB mage gets the bonus to DC and bonus spells whereas the elements of magic mage really only gets the bonus spells.
