D&D General Is this invocation idea reasonable?

Once per turn, when you take the Attack action, you can replace one melee attack with any Warlock cantrip you have enhanced with Agonizing Blast. If that cantrip requires a spell attack roll, you may only make one such attack roll, even if the cantrip would otherwise allow you to make more than one.

IMO and IME, because of its enormous extra potential due to using an attack roll (and thus having the possibility of critical hit damage) and having separate attacks (thus getting the Agonizing Blast benefit several times), eldritch blast crowds out the other cantrip attack options in general and doubly so with AB. It would be cool to reward players that choose a less-optimal option by creating a useful benefit, albeit one weaker than EB+AB. Further, this is already a thing Bladesinger Wizards could do, but with fewer limitations than the above, allowing them to benefit fully from both Extra Attack and melee cantrips. This option gives a good reason for picking a save-based cantrip instead--sure, you only get to add your Cha mod once, but you can now be flexible enough to do ranged damage and melee damage in a single turn without facing disadvantage from being in melee. EB even still works! It's just...pretty clearly not as good as, say, fire bolt, or mind sliver if you're of a support-y kind of bent, or sacred flame for a Celestial Warlock etc.

So--does this sound like a balanced invocation option? You cannot take it before 5th level, as Thirsting Blade requires 5th level Warlock. Given Bladelock is already incredibly hungry for invocations*, this sounds superficially reasonable...but it's always hard to balance your own ideas.

*As in, if you took this at level 5, you would literally only have room for one invocation that isn't a direct or indirect prerequisite for this one.

it's OK, I would even put EB with AB in it with full utility.
Warlock is based and balanced around EB, all other cantrips are backup situational usage, so I see no reason to exclude EB from this feature.
Even more now that there is next to to force damage resistance/immunity.
