is White Wolf's hype machine broken?

They announced Monte Cook's WoD in GenCon SoCal, 6 months ago, it's June and we hardly have any more info. Part of the success of Monte Cook is he knows how to pimp his own stuff, why is WW letting it slip like this? I want to see before I decide to buy.

They are just starting to leak things about their Gen Con releases. We still have over two months to get all kinds of juices details so nothing is slipping yet. Now if we don't have anything by the end of July different story. But if all you want is info before you buy it then wait a week or two after its released and read the threads of the people who buy it when it first comes out. You'll get your information one way or another.

I gotta say, it would be really fun to turn the Inconnu/Unbidden into the Galchutt and have a successful "hooray, we saved Ptolus" epic campaign have a sequel "oh crap, we destroyed Earth" McWoD campaign.

Brilliant!

You get the cookie for best idea of the day!

I think it might be slightly underpowered, but I don't think it's broken. I'm sure it could work fine with the proper gaming group.

darn. I really wanted this to be more like white wolfs wod only with d20s. Oh well.

I'm glad for a change of pace. Vamps, werewolves, and mages, oh brother. I'm glad it's something different. I now have to decide if I'll be picking up McWoD or nChangling. Decisions, decisions...

I think it's pretty cool. It will still have stuff more vampires, mages, werewolfs (at least I think so from the last thread) - even if the fluff is wholly different.

Now I can use the crunch of McWoD and its fluff to play d20 McWoD,
I can take the crunch and combine it with nWoD-fluff, to get d20 nWoD,
and I can take the fluff and combine with nWoD-crunch to get Storyteller McWoD.

Seems like a book intended for d20ers and WWlers, who want a new take on their fluff, while preserving the trappings of Vampire/Mage/Werewolf-stuff. Seems like a win-win to me. :)
